Tyne Bridge House

Tyne Bridge House is a commercial development on Bottle Bank, directly adjacent to the Tyne Bridge.

Project Overview

Tyne Bridge House is a commercial development on Bottle Bank, directly adjacent to the Tyne Bridge. It brings a high-class office development onto the Gateshead Quayside, redeveloping an existing unused terrace area into an attractive area structure that promotes local business and investment. In constructing the structure for Tyne Bridge House, emphasis was placed on using local tradespeople to complete building works to ensure that work stayed local and would feed into the local economy and provide employment and work to these tradespeople.

Further to this, the office provides direct employment in the large space, to be utilized by the Great Run Company, providing high quality space adjacent to the start of the Great North Run. This provides space for media coverage/interviews during this large scale which provides media coverage to the region. The reuse of the existing structure and foundation has resulted in an overall reduction in embodied carbon reducing the impact of the construction on the environment.
