Sultan House

Project Overview

Sultan House is a luxury rooftop development, delivering inspiring living space in one of London’s most exclusive suburbs with panoramic views over the Capital’s iconic skyline. In addition to the rooftop development, improvements were made to the façade of the existing building; as well as upgrading the communal areas for all tenants to enjoy. The development was completed in 2018, and all of the apartments were sold off-plan during the duration of the build. Sultan House is primely located within prestigious SE1, close to the heart of Bermondsey in South East London. Bermondsey repeatedly made The Times Best Places list and is recognized as a culinary hotspot in the capital.

Our scope of services for the project was to establish the additional load capacity within the existing structure whilst designing the structure associated with providing luxury rooftop penthouses on top of the existing residential block. The penthouses were spread across an additional three storeys. Within our package of works we assisted the contractor with the phasing of the works including temporary water proofing, nominal strengthening and works sequences for loading the existing roof during construction.
