Meadowcroft Mews

Meadowcroft Mews is a brand new, detached property built and designed to a highly efficient specification.

Project Overview

Meadowcroft Mews is a brand new, detached property built and designed to a highly efficient specification. The eco-house is located on the outskirts of Cambridge and sits privately within a gated scheme surrounded by woodland. The property extends to around 468 sq ft, including an outdoor terrace angled to optimise the woodland view. The home is arranged over one floor and flows from the open plan living/dining room and large kitchen to the bedroom and bathroom. Meadowcroft Mews was recognised as a finalist for its unique timber frame construction in the 2021 Structural Timber Awards.

Attention to detail has been central to this space, including sloping ceilings in the living room and bedrooms, concealed LED lighting, and shadow gap detailing to doors, skirting and ceilings. One of many considered features is the full-height cantilevered bi-folding doors, with a flush threshold opening onto the southwest facing raised terrace. Outdoors, considerately placed tree lighters, and the dedicated footpath to Trumpington Road, make the home a true element of its surroundings.
