The Sunderland Music, Art and Culture Trust is developing a music, arts and cultural quarter (MACQ) in the centre of Sunderland, that will restore and re-establish the area’s previous importance as the Edwardian heart and soul of the city.

Elliott House was originally built in 1855 as four substantial Victorian terrace houses. Elliott House is owned and operated by Changing Lives as a hostel for homeless individuals.

The Star and Shadow is one of the most exciting organisations to make a home in the Ouseburn in the last decade, regularly playing host to all manner of world cinema, live music, art exhibitions, craft fairs and creative workshops.

Raby Castle is a Grade I listed medieval castle which was built between 1367-1390 by John Nevill, 3rd Baron Nevill de Raby and has been the seat of Lord Barnard and his family since the early 17th century.

The Bigg Market is synonymous with the reputation of “the good nightlife” that can be found at the heart of Newcastle.

This new café sits within the grounds of Mount Grace Priory, Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

During this project, we were asked to do the works from planning to construction for a new Mikveh (religious bath) including water capture and storage.

The scheme utilised the existing promenade shelter and includes a new upper level designed with transparency in mind to maximise and enhance sea views from and throughout the building.
