Oak Tree is the first of many projects that aim to show that with collaborative working between designers and builders, it is possible to build without aesthetic limits, economically sustainable timber structures/buildings.

To be certified as passive the structure needs to meet a strict set of criteria which introduced challenging details which were addressed collaboratively to ensure that there was no break within airtight and thermal lines, including using a twin wall for depth of insulation allowing floor joists to be fixed to the internal face to maintain air tightness and improve structural performance of the wall.
